Cavs Rumors: What’s Fact, What’s Fiction, What’s Somewhere In Between?
David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

The Cavaliers’ 2023-24 season has reached an end, and now most people will tell you they are about to play their biggest NBA game yet. And that would be how the game is played over the summer.

Already, the rumors are flying. Will Donovan Mitchell sign an extension? Will Darius Garland be traded? Will J.B. Bickerstaff be fired?

And those are just the biggies. There are also multiple reports about other players on the roster, and maybe even some rumors about president of basketball operations Koby Altman.

Some of it may even be true. Plenty of it is not — or at least, not yet. The Cavs are in evaluation mode, and frankly, they could be there for a few more days or even weeks. You can’t rush the offseason.

So, what’s real and what’s maybe not-so-real? Again, it’s too early for real answers. But we can speculate, and we can be sure that some things just are not true.

I try to break it all down in the latest 330 to Go show, which airs live on Facebook every Thursday at 6 p.m. EST. It also is available forever on YouTube.

Here’s the latest show, in which I try to break it all down (with the emphasis on try). Cavs Rumors: Fact or Fiction. Let’s get started. …

In this episode, I discuss whether firing Bickerstaff is the best plan, what I think and am hearing about Mitchell and the extension, and what the Cavaliers could expect in return should Garland actually be traded (short version: probably nothing that’s considered a splash).

Enjoy, comment, send me emails. We will have plenty to discuss as the summer bounces on.
