In total, there will be 257 picks in this year’s seven-round draft with compensatory selections awarded to multiple teams. The Cards were not one of the teams who received these additional choices.
Ahead of the Cardinals in the first round, the Chicago Bears have the highest prized possession, the first-overall pick. The Washington Commanders will go second before the New England Patriots follow up with the third.
When analyzing the presumed top-four prospects, USC quarterback Caleb Williams, UNC QB Drake Maye and LSU QB Jayden Daniels are favorites for the initial three.
One player to keep an eye on for Arizona to select is Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. If he is off the board, however, things will get interesting with how Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort will maneuver.
At last season’s draft, Arizona welcomed the likes of offensive lineman Paris Johnson Jr., defensive end B.J. Ojulari, wide receiver Michael Wilson and more to the Valley. The Cardinals had nine picks in 2023 as a whole.
The next group of the NFL’s future will take the stage at the 2024 Draft, beginning on April 25 at 6 p.m. MST.
